Tom joined Harris Hagan in May 2012 and specialises in commercial law with a particular focus on gaming related products and services. He trained at Nabarro where he qualified in 2001 and latterly spent three years at Lewis Silkin.

In 2006, he moved in-house with The Rank Group plc to specialise in gaming work. Tom's primary focus at Rank was advising its online business, notably in relation to its gaming platforms and licensed gaming content, both for its UK facing websites and its Spanish business. This work extended to Blue Square and Mecca's growing portfolio of mobile products. Tom also advised Rank Interactive on their branded partnerships with the television programmes Britain's Got Talent and The X-Factor, as well as their sponsorship arrangements with sports associations, clubs and racecourses. He was also responsible for drafting and updating all of Rank's online terms and conditions as well as bespoke promotional terms.

Additionally, Tom advised both of Rank's land-based divisions, Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo, on a variety of commercial contracts supporting the business. In particular, he negotiated a series of contracts for the supply of electronic bingo terminals across Mecca's estate. His experience also includes advising on the protection of intellectual property right, particularly in relation to trademarks and domain names.

Tom read history at Royal Holloway College, London University. He enjoys watching cricket and rugby and reminiscing about happier times at Liverpool FC.
