Playgistics
George Zaloom is the founder and CEO of Playgistics, Inc. a Los Angelesbased
technology company. Playgistics develops and operates online
consumer Internet products. Its premiere offering is GoPlay®.
Goplay.com enables land-based casino operators to embed popular Facebookformatted
casino games directly into their own branded websites. Playgistics
also operates: gamestamper.com – a social game distribution platform/API.
Prior to launching Goplay, Zaloom was CEO of ChipzCo where he created
FaceChipz.com and giantHello.com – two safe social networks for tweens
(ages 7 to 13). He is also an advisor to X17online.com. X17 is the largest
celebrity newsgathering entertainment service in Los Angeles. The company’s
online properties generate millions of visitors a month.
Preceding Chipzco, George was instrumental in developing two major branded
entertainment franchises; one for MediaEdge/Group M Entertainment and the
other for Phil Anschutz’s Walden Media. He was also a senior executive at
DreamWorks Animation and supervised the production of Kung Fu Panda.
Before that, Zaloom ran ZM Productions, a major independent production
company specializing in non-fiction and Family Entertainment. At ZM Zaloom
produced the motion picture Encino Man, numerous movies of the week for
ABC’s Wonderful World of Disney, and the Back to the Future Animated Series.
He also co-created Martha Stewart Living and the Emmy winning documentary
Hearts of Darkness. Contracting with all the major studios and networks ZM’s
client base included filmmakers Steven Spielberg, Francis Coppola, Robert
Zemeckis and George Lucas.
He has spoken at industry conferences such as: Digital Content Management,
Engage, Toyfair, Bootcamp, United States Senate Digital Summit, The New
York Times Symposium. He has also lectured at major intuitions such as: The
American Film Institute, The University of Southern California, The University of
California, Los Angeles and The University of California, Santa Barbara.
Zaloom is a graduate of the University Southern California School of Film &
Television. He is also a former New Jersey Firefighter.
