How is your topic relevant to the gaming industry?
Our my company, Goplay has created software that aids developers in acquiring users and casino operators with sourcing games, as well as acquiring and maintaining users. It’s becoming difficult and costly for developers to acquire users. Every month new social casino games are flooding the market and developers are desperately looking for ways to expand their distribution footprint. On the flipside, casino operators who’ve probably never played a social game in their lives are faced with the beguiling task of how to integrate social games into their existing websites. These are stressful times but there are solutions.
What’s the one thing you hope delegates get out of your session?
The social casino gaming ecosphere has great growth potential – especially in the USA. When you visit Vegas – the first things you see when you get off the place are slot machines – they are not just in casinos – they are everywhere. This is the opportunity we see: the distribution of casino gaming beyond the traditional brick and mortar environment. We want show casino operators (and other potential publishers) that there is technology that will enable them to participate in this digital land grab.
Why is this subject something you are passionate about?
I’m passionate about using technology to solve problems. And we see a big problem ahead for U.S. operators who are competing with Facebook for customers. We’d like to help those operators find a way to maintain their customers so that they don’t defect to other online destinations and consequently lose their affinity for the operator’s land-based destination. AND… we think we can help them create new digital offering that could ultimately out-size their land-based operations…
